Why I started Blankson Oniah.

I'm the founder of Blankson Oniah, a web design studio in Co. Cork. I started this business for one simple reason: I kept seeing brilliant local businesses that were invisible online.

I didn't start out behind a laptop, either. Before any of this, I did manual work — proper hard, physical labour, the kind where the day starts early and nobody hands you anything. Those jobs taught me more than any course could: turn up when you say you will, graft until the job is done, and finish it properly even when nobody's checking. I bring that exact work ethic to every website I build.

It's also why I get on so well with the people I build for. Tradespeople, shop owners, barbers — I know what a hard day's work actually feels like, and I know what it takes to earn the money you'd be spending with me. I treat it with that respect.

And to be clear: I'm open to all companies. Cafés, salons, farms, gyms, builders, accountants — if you do good work and want to be found for it, I want to build your website. No company is too small, too local or too unusual.

The shop with the best service in town — no website. The barber everyone recommends — impossible to find on Google. The tradesperson booked out on word of mouth alone — losing every customer who searched online first. These businesses are excellent at what they do. They just don't look it online, and in 2026 that's where every new customer looks first.

So I build fast, modern, professional websites that make local businesses look as good online as they are in person. There are no bloated agency processes here, no six-week email chains, no invoices full of things you don't understand. You deal with me directly, from the first chat to launch day and beyond.

Being young in this industry actually works in your favour. I build with current tools and current design standards, and because I'm still making my name, my reputation rides on every single site I put out. Your website won't be one of a hundred projects on an agency whiteboard. It'll be the next thing I show people when they ask what I can do.
